YRNO is hiring!

Youth Rebuilding New Orleans is hiring three Program Development Coordinators for the 2016-2017 Louisiana Delta Service Corps Term! The position will be based in high schools during the school year and will also assist and instruct YRNO’s summer pre-apprenticeships.

For 2016 YRNO is piloting two new programs at partner schools: a dropout reduction strategy as well as a summer opportunities placement strategy. These two programs will require approximately 50% of the LDSC time to develop materials, implement, and evaluate the pilots. 25% of the LDSC time should be used implementing school and teacher projects, and 25% of their time should be used to plan, organize, and implement service projects for students.

YRNO is about to launch into teaching 2 summer cohorts of local youth construction skills, job readiness skills, and financial literacy with the help of our current LDSC members: Mari Crawford, Maya Curtis, and Emily Parker. Each of them finishes up their service term on July 31, and we thank them for their hard work this year!
