University of South Florida

March Madness begins! This week we have a group of students from USF’s St. Petersburg campus volunteering at our St. Ann Street properties and staying in our bunkhouse. We’re finishing our cleanup work and will hopefully get them on some real construction before the week is out! Jesuit College Prep of Dallas

Yesterday and today we had a group of nine volunteers from Jesuit College Prep of Dallas working at both our South Scott Street side project and our St. Ann Street properties. They’re also enjoying our fine bunkhouse facilities and we hope they get a chance to have some fun this weekend. Peep the action below! John Paul the Great

This week we have a group from John Paul the Great Academy in Lafayette staying with us in our bunkhouse and volunteering at our South Scott Street side project. All Saints Episcopal School

This week we have a group from All Saints Episcopal School of Tyler, Texas staying in our bunkhouse and volunteering at our South Salcedo work site. We’re trying to get the house there finished by August 15th so we can sell it shortly thereafter. Following a brief morning orientation, rotating crews of 15 worked for three consecutive days. First United Methodist Church, part deux

Once again, this week we have a youth group from First United Methodist Church staying in our bunkhouse and volunteering with us, but this time it’s from Stuttgart, Arkansas rather than Monticello. The two groups do know each other, so getting the new one up to speed was easy! White Rock United Methodist Church

As we prepare for another volunteer group in our bunkhouse this week, we had one with us for two days earlier this month. Youth from White Rock United Methodist Church of Dallas spent time at both Carver Collegiate Academy and our South Salcedo work site. Check out the visual evidence below! First United Methodist Church

This week we have a youth group from First United Methodist Church of Monticello, Arkansas staying in our bunkhouse and volunteering with us. The last two days they were painting at Sci Academy in New Orleans East, as you can see below. We especially wish Laura Smith good luck, as she left early to join her “Triple Threat” softball World Series team in Memphis!   Touching up.           Cleaning rollers.

This week we have a group of 11 from Rosemont College in Pennsylvania staying in our bunkhouse and volunteering at our South Salcedo and 10th Street work sites. Lotsa painting going on, as you can see below. Raven power!   Working in tandem.          

Ashford University

This week we have a group of 25 hale and hearty volunteers from Ashford University in Iowa at our South Salcedo and 10th Street work sites. Staying in our bunkhouse, they’ve continued the sanding, mudding and painting work of our other recent groups, and we’ve got the visual evidence below, plus a shot of them hamming it up while on a tour with our own Will Stoudt. This week we have a group from Wayne Hills High School in New Jersey staying in our bunkhouse and volunteering at our 10th Street work site.
