These partnerships range from acting as a community service partner for students to much more involved partnerships with dedicated time in the classroom for a highly customized service learning curriculum. Science and Math Academy (Sci) – Sci Academy is a leading open enrollment charter school in eastern New Orleans. YRNO provides students with twice weekly onsite service learning activities as well as opportunities for students to volunteer throughout the city. Students learn how to use various tools in addition to other professional development tools like speaking, writing, and financial literacy.

Jesuit High School – A private, Catholic school located in Mid-City. Students of all ages have the opportunity to regularly volunteer with our organization. Additionally Sophomores and Juniors work with YRNO to complete service requirements throughout the school year and summer.

Ben Franklin High School – Students at Ben Franklin can join a youth led club that plans and facilitates days for students to come work with YRNO on many of our job sites. While on site students are instructed on various types of construction skills.

O.Perry Walker – Key Club students at O.Perry Walker work regularly with Youth Rebuilding New Orleans on many of our home building projects. Instead of typical volunteer activities O.Perry Walker students are given service learning lesson plans that reinforce various school subjects like math, civics, etc. Students also interact with other students from other high schools and universities.

Mount Carmel – Girls from Mount Carmel, an all girls Catholic school, come quarterly to volunteer with YRNO. Students get a unique volunteer experience because YRNO is a youth run organization thereby allowing students to interact with other youth making a difference, just another way YRNO works to empower local students.

Archbishop Rummel – Archbishop Rummel is one of Youth Rebuilding New Orleans oldest and most active chapters. From general volunteering activities to planning and coordinating large scale events, students from Rummel get valuable experience that is put to good use in future academic and professional settings.
